The Local Organizing Committee is very pleased to announce the 15th International Symposium on Phototrophic Prokaryotes which will be held in Tübingen, Germany, from 2 to 6 of August, 2015.
The symposium will bring together researchers for five days of scientific meeting, with the aim to cover the current knowledge and the most recent advances of
research on phototrophic prokaryotes. The program will focus on the latest scientific achievements in the genetics and physiology of these organisms, also addressing their evolution, ecology,
mechanisms of interaction with the environment, and biotechnological applications. In addition, this meeting provides excellent opportunities to exchange ideas with scientists from different
background and expertise that can help to develop future directions of research.
Tübingen is one of the most scenic German cities, embedded in the northern slopes of the Black Forest mountain range and the Neckar valley and can be reached easily via train connection to the international airport of Stuttgart. Internationally known for its research university, the Eberhard-Karls-University, and other research institutions, Tübingen has other interesting aspects such as the beautiful landscape of the Swabian Alb, the Black Forest and the historical centre. Together with its picturesque sights, Tübingen offers many different choices of excellent accommodation for a large number of participants.
On behalf of the local organizing committee, I’m very pleased to welcome all the participants of the ISPP 2015.
